St Louis College For Deaf

Our college is located down in Gandhi Nagar, right along Canal Bank Road in Adyar. It’s a quiet area mostly, though you get the sound of the birds and the breeze from the canal. This place has been here for a long time, and the buildings show their age a bit, but they serve their purpose well. We have classrooms where students spend their time learning and communicating in their own ways. It’s not like a typical noisy college campus because of the nature of our work here. The staff and students know each other pretty well, and there’s a sense of community that you don’t always find in bigger institutions. We have some basic facilities, nothing too high-tech, just the essentials for teaching. The garden needs a bit of weeding sometimes, but the students like sitting out there during breaks. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure everyone understands the lessons. It’s a lot of hands-on work and patience. Some of the desks are a bit wobbly, but we fix them when we can. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy entrance gate. People find us because they need what we offer. The day usually starts early and ends when the sun goes down over the canal. It’s a steady pace of life here. We just go about our business of education without much fanfare or any complicated rules for visitors.
