Ssc Oil Mill Industries is located at No 52, which used to be No 36 before they changed the numbering on this street. It is an old building and it has that distinct smell of pressed oil that sticks to your clothes and hair. We have been running the mill here for quite a long time. You can hear the rhythmic thumping of the machinery from the sidewalk. It is a dusty, noisy place, but it is our place. We deal with seeds and oils every single day. The floor is often a bit slippery, so we have to be careful where we walk. Most of the workers here live nearby and have been with us since they were young men. We don't have a fancy website or a front desk with a receptionist. If you want to talk to us, you just walk in and find someone who isn't too busy with the presses. We handle the local orders and sometimes bigger shipments that go out on the trucks. The lighting inside is a bit dim and the walls are stained with years of work, but that is how a real oil mill looks. We take our breaks sitting on the front step watching the traffic go by.
