Sri Sakthi Marine Products Pvt. Ltd. is located in Nehru Nagar, Adyar. We are in the Ramkrish Flats, which is actually a residential-looking building. Our address is New No. 16, though some still call it Old No. 9. We are on 3rd Street. It’s a bit quieter than the main Adyar roads, which is a relief. We deal with marine products, mainly fish and other seafood. The office is small and usually smells a bit like the ocean, which I guess makes sense given what we do. We have a few computers and a lot of logbooks. We spend our time coordinating between the suppliers and the people who want the products. It’s a lot of timing and making sure things stay cold. We don't have a big fancy lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there to talk to you. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to scramble to check the backups. It’s part of the daily grind in Chennai. We’ve been here for several years now and have a routine that works for us. My staff lives nearby, so we are all local folks just trying to earn a living. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our clients come through word of mouth or long-standing relationships. It’s a straightforward business, and we like keeping it that way in our little corner of Adyar.
