Sri Palam Silks Sarees

We are located on Luz Church Road in Mylapore. The address can be a bit confusing for some because it's new number 153, but plenty of people still know it by the old number 67. We’ve been here in Mylapore for a very long time. It’s a traditional area, and we think our shop fits in well with the surroundings. Our space is filled with sarees of all different kinds. We spend a lot of our day unfolding fabrics for people to see and then folding them back up neatly. It is quite a bit of work to keep everything looking right. The shop isn't massive, but we manage to fit a lot of stock into the shelves. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It is just us and the customers who have been coming to see us for years. We know many of them by their names and what they like. Mylapore is always a busy place, especially when there are festivals going on. The noise from the street comes right in through the front door, but we don't mind. It feels like home to us. We don't use fancy advertisements to get people in. Most folks find us because they already know where we are. We sit here and talk to whoever comes through the door. Sometimes the shop gets very crowded, but we just do our best to help everyone.
