If you walk down 3rd Street in Kamarajar Nagar, you’ll find us at number 9/1. This part of Saligramam is usually quite busy with people moving around. Being in the cement business means things can get a little dusty around the entrance, but we try to sweep it up when we can. Sri Charka Cement Ltd. has been operating from this spot for a while now. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place where we manage the orders and talk to the drivers. The street is a bit narrow, so when the big trucks come in to drop off loads, it can get a little crowded. The neighbors know us well, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. Inside the office, the walls are covered with old calendars and charts. It’s not the kind of place where we wear suits. Usually, it’s just plain shirts and trousers because of the heat. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure the bags are moving out to the sites where they are needed. Saligramam is a good place to be based because it’s central enough for the deliveries. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in, ask what they need, and we see if we can help them out with the cement. There is always someone here during the day to answer the phone or handle the paperwork.
