Sri Aranga Leathers

We have been here at No. 52-a in Nagelkeni for quite some time now. Most people know the spot over in Sri Saraswathi Muthu Palanippa Nagar just off Anna Salai. Dealing with leather is messy work, honestly. The shop usually smells like hide and various treatments we use. It is a small place but we keep busy enough. Usually, my cousin and I are the ones here behind the counter or moving boxes around in the back. We do not have a fancy showroom with glass cases or anything like that. Most of the stuff is just stacked up where we can find room. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact piece someone is looking for because the inventory gets a bit mixed up during the busy hours. People stop by on their way home from work because we are right there on the main path. It gets hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building. We just leave the door open and hope for a breeze. Some days are quieter than others and we just sit and talk about the neighborhood. There is a lot of traffic on Anna Salai these days which makes it hard for people to park their bikes right in front. You have to be careful pulling out. We handle the leather goods day in and day out and that is basically what we do here. No big story behind it.
