Sree Vidhya Educational Institute-Adyar

Our institute is based in Gandhi Nagar, Adyar, at New No. 26 on 2nd Cross Street. If you can find the road that runs opposite Kalyan Jewellers, you are pretty much here. Sree Vidhya Educational Institute-Adyar has been a part of this local neighborhood for quite a few years now. Adyar is a busy area, but our specific street stays a little quieter than the main roads, which is nice for the students. The building we use is a regular house that has been turned into classrooms. We have rooms on both the upstairs and downstairs floors. It’s not one of those modern glass-and-steel buildings. It is a place with some real character. We still have the old wooden tables and chairs that have been used by many different students over the years. We spend our time going through the school books and helping students with the things they find difficult. It involves a lot of sitting down and talking through problems. We aren't trying to be some massive educational company. We just want to do a decent job for the students who come to us. The people working here are all locals. We have our tea together and talk about the day's work. Sometimes neighbors even stop by to say hello. It’s a very traditional, low-key way of running an institute. It’s just an honest, simple place for learning in Gandhi Nagar. That's the whole story.
