Sree Kanniyamman Enterprises

We are located at No. 5 on 7th Street in Ayaappa Nagar, which is part of Maduravoual. It can be a little tricky to find us if you aren't looking closely, but once you’ve been here, it’s easy. We run this enterprise as a small team. It’s mostly family and a few helpers from the area. We deal in all sorts of construction materials that people need for their houses or small projects. The space we have isn't huge, so things can get a bit cluttered if we aren't careful with where we put stuff. Most of our regular customers live within a few miles of here. We see the same faces every week and we’ve gotten to know them pretty well over the years. When the monsoon season hits, the yard gets really muddy and it slows everything down, but we just put on our boots and keep moving. We keep all our records in a metal drawer in the back corner. If the phone rings while we are loading a truck, it might take a minute for someone to answer it. It’s physical work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the day. My nephew helps out when he can, which is a big help. We don't do any real advertising. Usually, someone’s neighbor just tells them to come see us on 7th Street. It’s a quiet way to do business and it works for us. We just keep at it.
