Our place is at 19 Ab 1st Street in Anna Nagar. People still call it by the old number 94 sometimes, which can be a bit confusing for new delivery drivers. It is a busy part of the city. We have been working with fabrics here for some time now. The office is tucked away and it stays quite cool even when it is hot outside. We have a few rooms filled with samples and papers. Usually, there are three or four of us sitting around the main table talking about the next batch of cloth coming in. It is not like those big corporate offices you see on TV. We have tea twice a day and talk about the news while we work. The street outside is narrow so parking is always a headache. Most people just park their scooters wherever they find a gap. Inside, the shelves are packed tight. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing down notes on small pads of paper. It is a bit messy but we know where everything is. Sometimes the fans make a clicking noise that we just got used to over the years. We handle the business side of things mostly. It is a steady life here. We don't try to be something we are not. Just a small company doing its work in a quiet corner of Anna Nagar.
