We are located right in the middle of all the noise on Ranganathan Street in T. Nagar. Our place is on the 202nd floor, or at least that’s what the address says on our paperwork. If you know this street, you know how crowded it gets with all the shoppers and vendors. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially when we’re carrying bundles of clothes. We’ve been here for a long time. This area is the heart of shopping in Chennai. We do apparels, mostly focused on what people want to wear every day. The room is usually full of stock. We don't have much space for a fancy showroom. We just have racks and some tables where we check the pieces. It’s loud outside almost all the time, but we’ve gotten used to it. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the crowds below. We started as a small family thing and we’ve just stayed that way. We don't have a big corporate story. We just buy fabric, get things made, and sell them. It’s simple. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. We share news and sometimes help each other out. It’s a tough place to work because of the heat and the people, but we like being where the action is. We just keep our heads down and keep the business moving every day.
