We are based in the Malavika Centre on Kodambakkam High Road. Space Matrix Designs Consultants Pvt Ltd occupies the 6th floor, units 144 and 145. We are right across from the Pamgeoom Hotel. Being in Nungambakkam means we are right in the heart of Chennai’s business district. It’s a lot of stairs and elevators every day. Our office is usually buzzing with people on phones and drawings spread out over every available surface. We do a lot of office interiors, which is a different kind of challenge than houses. Everything has to be precise because there are so many cables and people involved. We aren't the type to sit in a fancy boardroom. We’d rather be on-site checking the progress. The heat in this city can be brutal, especially when a building doesn't have the AC running yet, but we’re used to it. We deal with a lot of different contractors and it’s a constant task to keep everyone on schedule. We don’t use a lot of corporate jargon. We just tell it like it is. If a design is going to be too expensive, we say so. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen how the city has changed. We just keep our heads down and focus on finishing the current project so we can start the next one. It’s busy, it’s loud, and it’s what we do.
