You’ll find our office at No 200 on Pycrofts Road in Royapettah. Being so close to Express Avenue means there is always a lot of energy and traffic around us. It’s a busy part of Chennai, and that vibe definitely carries into our workspace. The office is a bit of a mix of things—half of it is taken up by computer stations for the architectural side, and the other half is cluttered with fabric swatches, paint chips, and wood samples for the interior work. It’s never really tidy because we’re always pulling things out to see how they look together. The desks are covered in sketches and notes scribbled on whatever scrap of paper was handy. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor of our own office; we’re too busy focusing on the projects for other people. Most afternoons, the sun hits the front windows, and it gets pretty warm until the evening breeze kicks in. We have a small kettle for tea, and there’s usually a packet of biscuits open somewhere. It’s a working environment where things can get a little loud when we’re debating a design choice. Between the phone calls and the noise from Pycrofts Road, it’s rarely quiet, but that’s just how we like it. It feels like we’re right in the middle of everything, which is helpful when you need to run out and grab supplies or meet someone nearby.
