Yunak Interior Studio

We’re located at 7/15, Kithabath Khan Street in Triplicane, right off Ellis Road. If you know Chennai, you know Triplicane is one of those old, crowded neighborhoods with a lot of character. Our studio fits right into that. It’s not a big, modern office building; it’s a space in an old part of town where we do our interior design work. There’s always the sound of motorbikes and people talking outside on the street. Inside, we have our boards set up and we spend a lot of time looking at color palettes and floor plans. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when we have a lot of samples delivered, but we make it work. We like being in this part of the city because it feels real. We spend a lot of time visiting sites around Triplicane and the surrounding areas, making sure the carpenters and painters are doing what they need to do. It’s a lot of manual work and checking and re-checking measurements. We aren’t trying to be a high-end boutique; we’re just a local studio where people can come in and talk about their homes. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know us, and we just keep doing our thing, one room at a time, trying to stay ahead of our deadlines. The building we are in has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the walls. We don't mind the tight spaces; it helps us think.
