Located over on Second Street in Dr. Subbarayan Nagar, Kodambakkam, Sm Star Engineers India Pvt. Ltd. is right in the middle of a busy part of the city. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but once you find number 12/12, you are in the right place. The neighborhood has that classic Chennai feel with narrow streets and lots of activity throughout the day. We spend most of our time dealing with engineering work, which involves a lot of sitting around at desks and looking at technical drawings or talking through project details. The office isn't anything spectacular, just a functional space where we can get our work done without too many distractions. Sometimes the tea stall down the street is the busiest place around here during lunch breaks. We have been operating out of this Kodambakkam address for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the way the local traffic flows. It is a tight-knit area. Inside our doors, it is mostly about keeping the projects on track and making sure the engineers have what they need. We don't really have big signs or flashy lights outside. Most people who come here already know what we do and where to find us. It’s just a normal workplace with a small team trying to do a good job every day. Sometimes we stay late when things get piled up, but that is just part of the life of an engineering firm in a city like this.
