Our place is tucked away at number 8 on 6th Street in Rajamangalam. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze back here in Villivakkam, especially when we have deliveries coming in and the trucks have to navigate the narrow street. The agency has been running out of this same building for a while now. It’s not a big office with glass doors or anything like that. It’s more of a practical space with desks shoved against the walls and boxes stacked up wherever they’ll fit. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through ledgers to make sure the numbers add up. The street outside is usually busy with people going about their business, and we’re just part of that local mix. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three things happen at once, but we manage to sort it out eventually. We don’t have a fancy lobby for people to sit in. Usually, folks just stand by the counter and talk to us while we work. The fan overhead makes a bit of a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing after all these years. We just focus on getting the orders out and making sure the stock is right. It’s just honest work in a regular neighborhood. We know the people around here and they know us. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy from morning until we pull the shutters down.
