Shift Engineer

Our setup is located right on Post Office Street in Thoraipakkam, Chennai. Being at 1/135B makes it easy for people to find us, especially since the post office is such a well-known landmark in this part of town. Chennai is always busy, and the traffic on the OMR can be a real headache, so we are glad to be tucked away on a slightly quieter street. As a shift engineer, the work never really stops because someone always needs something fixed or maintained. The humidity here in Tamil Nadu can be tough, but we just keep the fans going and get on with our jobs. It’s a very hands-on environment. You won't find anyone wearing suits or sitting in big leather chairs here. We are usually in our work clothes, covered in a bit of grease or dust by the end of the day. It is an honest living. We have been at this address for a long time and have seen the neighborhood grow and change around us. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or promotional stuff. We just rely on doing a decent job and being available when we are supposed to be. Sometimes the tools are all over the place and the desk is cluttered with diagrams, but that’s just part of the process. We just focus on getting through the current shift and making sure everything is ready for the next person coming in. There is no secret to it, just showing up and doing the engineering work.
