Shaan Fashions

Shaan Fashions is located right by the Sadasivam Nagar bus stop in Madipakkam. It is a very convenient spot because we can just watch the buses come and go all day long. The commuters are always standing right outside our door, which makes it feel like we are in the middle of everything. It gets quite busy during the morning rush. We are a small team and we have been in this Madipakkam area for some time now. The workspace is filled with stacks of patterns and various types of cloth. It is not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are more focused on the sewing and the orders. People often pop their heads in to ask for directions because of the bus stop being so close. We do not mind much. It is a bit noisy with the traffic and the bus conductors shouting, but you get used to the rhythm of the street. We usually have some tea around four in the afternoon when things slow down a little bit. Shaan Fashions is just a local business trying to keep up with the work. We do not have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we are here every day. It is a humble setup but it works for us. Living and working in Madipakkam has its own charm.
