Sha Roopchand Saremal

Sha Roopchand Saremal is located at 38 Narayan Mudali Street in Sowcarpet. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how packed it gets. There are people, scooters, and goods everywhere. Our shop has been here for a long time, and it’s filled with stacks of things from floor to ceiling. It’s not a place where everything is neatly arranged like in a mall. We know where everything is, but to someone else, it might look a bit messy. We spend our day talking to customers and moving stock around. The building is old, and the walls have seen better days, but it’s sturdy. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the business well. We start the day by cleaning the front of the shop and then it’s just one person after another coming in. We don't use much technology besides the basic stuff. We prefer writing things down and talking to people face-to-face. It’s a loud, sweaty, and busy environment, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We’ve been a part of Narayan Mudali Street for so long that we know everyone around us. We share tea and talk about the day’s trade. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our life. We just try to be honest in our dealings and keep the shop going year after year. It's just a regular business where we work hard and look after what we have.
