Seahorse Leather Crafts

If you are walking down Broadway, you might see our sign for Seahorse Leather Crafts at number 58. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The shop isn't very big, but it’s packed with leather and tools. You can smell the leather as soon as you step inside. It’s a very distinct smell that stays with you. We do a lot of the work by hand right here. Cutting, stitching, and finishing leather pieces takes a lot of patience. We don't have a big factory. It’s just a few of us working at our benches. Broadway is always full of life, with people going to and from work. We like being part of the street. Sometimes people just pop in to see what we are making. We don't have any big corporate slogans. We just like working with our hands. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we think it’s worth it. We aren't trying to be the biggest leather shop in the world. We just want to make things that last. 58 Broadway is our home base. We know the other shopkeepers around here and we help each other out. It’s a simple way of doing business. Seahorse Leather Crafts is just about us and our tools and the leather we work on every day. No frills, just honest labor. It can get a bit messy with scraps on the floor, but that's part of it. We just keep going.
