Say Leather

Say Leather is located at No. 75/3 Maistry Street. If you walk down our street, you can usually smell the leather before you even see our front door. It’s a very distinct scent, one we don’t even notice anymore after being here for so long. The shop is filled with rolls of hide and all the different tools we use for cutting and stitching things together. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there’s always small scraps on the floor, but it’s a real working shop. We’ve been on Maistry Street for years now. It’s a tight-knit area where people still talk to each other over the fences or on the sidewalk. We aren't a big factory by any stretch. Most of the work is done by hand or with very simple machines that have been here as long as we have. It takes time to do things right, so we don't try to rush anything. Sometimes we have a bit of a backlog of work, and customers have to wait a little longer than they might like. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team telling us what to do. It’s just us and our tools. We like the feel of the leather and the way it changes as you work it. It’s a traditional way of making a living, and we’re happy with that. No big plans to move to a modern industrial park. We like it right here on Maistry Street.
