Saravanaas Leathers

If you walk into No. 11/24 on Thiruneermalai Main Road, the first thing you will notice is the smell of leather. It is strong and stays on your clothes all day. We have been here in Parvathipuram for quite a stretch. Chrompet is a busy area, but our shop feels a bit more grounded. We work with different kinds of skins and hides. Some are tough, some are soft. We spend a lot of time cutting and checking for marks or holes in the material. It is not easy work on the hands. After a few hours, your fingers start to feel it. We have a few old workbenches that have been around since the beginning. They are covered in scars from the knives. People around here know us for just doing the job and not making a big scene about it. We do not have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It is more of a workshop where we actually get things done. Sometimes the floor is covered in scraps, but we sweep up before heading home. The commute can be a pain with the traffic on the main road, but once you are inside, it is just the work. We handle the leather carefully because every piece represents time and effort. It is a quiet kind of pride we take in it, though we do not talk about it much. We just show up, do the cutting, and go home to our families.
