Sahara Pipes

Sahara Pipes is located at No: 3/A in Vignesh Nagar. We are over in the Kolathur area, specifically Vinayagapuram. It is a bit of a industrial-feeling spot but there are houses around too. We have been selling pipes and fittings here for quite some time. The yard is usually full of PVC and metal pipes stacked up. It’s a bit messy, especially when a big delivery comes in from the trucks. We mostly work with local plumbers and some guys doing house construction nearby. It's dusty work. I usually wear old clothes because there’s no point in dressing up to move pipes all day. My brother handles the billing and I handle the loading. We don't have a website or anything like that, just a phone and a notebook where we write down orders. Sometimes we run out of a specific size, but we can usually get it in a day or two. People know us in Kolathur as the place that’s always open early. We start around 8 am because that’s when the work crews need their supplies. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we opened. More shops are popping up now. But we stay right here in Vignesh Nagar. It’s not a big corporation, just a family-run yard. We drink a lot of coffee and talk to the drivers. That's the daily routine here at Sahara Pipes. We just keep moving inventory and helping folks finish their plumbing.
