Chennai can get very hot, so we rely a lot on the cross-breeze through the windows. The floors are stone, which helps keep things a little cooler during the summer months. We have some benches and desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. You can see the wear on the edges and some scratches here and there. We spend our mornings doing administrative stuff and the afternoons are usually for meetings or just catching up on work. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where we get our morning coffee. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, except when the school nearby lets out in the afternoon. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the work every day. The walls are mostly bare, except for a calendar and a clock that’s five minutes fast. We never really bothered to fix it because we all just know. People from around Mogappair know where we are. It’s a simple setup, nothing that would impress a corporate executive, but it serves the community just fine. We keep the gate open during the business hours. It’s just a normal part of the neighborhood. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people walking by.
