At Rps Engineering, we’ve been operating out of No. 79 on Thiruvalluvar 111Rd Cross Street for a good while. We are tucked away in T.M.P. Nagar in Padi. It’s a quiet enough street for an engineering place, but we keep the noise going inside the workshop. We started this place because we had the tools and the space, and it just grew from there. It’s a lot of manual work and checking measurements over and over. Sometimes we get things wrong and have to start again, but that’s just part of the learning curve in this trade. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose for what we do. Padi has a lot of history with small shops like ours. We see the same faces every day walking past the gate. We aren't looking to change the world, just to provide what people ask for when they come through the door. The street name is a bit long, but most locals know exactly where T.M.P. Nagar is. We keep our tools organized, or at least we try to. Dealing with the heat in the summer makes the work harder, but we get through it. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here, and it works for us. We just take one order at a time and see it through until it's finished and ready for pickup. It's what we do.
