We’ve been operating in Royapettha for a long time, passed down through the family over several years. The name Sada Sida Siba Bhatt & Sons has been around here for quite a while, and we just keep the tradition going as best as we can. It’s a family-run place, so things are done a bit differently than at a big corporation. We don’t have a fancy office with glass walls or modern furniture; it’s more of a traditional space where we sit and talk. Royapettha is a busy part of the city, and we are right in the middle of all that daily activity. We handle various bits of business that come our way, mostly dealing with people we’ve known for a generation or more. It’s not about being the biggest company in town, it’s just about being reliable for the folks who live and work nearby. Sometimes we have tea and chat with customers for longer than we probably should, but that’s just how we like to work. The building is old and has a lot of character, even if the floors are a bit uneven in places. We don't use much technology besides the basics. Most of our records are still kept in books because that’s what we are used to and it works fine. It’s a simple life, and we are quite content with how things are.
