Royal Classic

We are located in Mylapore on V M Street. The shop has two numbers, New No 219 and Old No 99, which sometimes confuses people who are visiting for the first time. We are right opposite the Jammi Building, which is a well-known landmark in this part of Chennai. Royal Classic is a small establishment. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. The street is always full of life, especially with the temple nearby and all the small shops around us. Inside, it’s a bit cramped but we have managed to organize things in a way that works for us. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. It’s just a place where we come to work every day. The front windows let in some light, but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes. We spend our time talking to people who walk in and taking care of the daily chores of running a business. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s a bit slow. It is a very local kind of place where we know the other shopkeepers and the people who live on V M Street. We just aim to stay steady and keep things going as they always have been. It is a quiet existence but it suits us just fine.
