Robertet Flavours And Fragrances India Private Limited is based at Plot No. 26 on East Main Road in Balaji Nagar, which is part of the Selaiyur area. This part of Chennai has grown a lot, but our spot remains a dedicated workspace for what we do. The plot is fairly large, which gives us enough room to handle our flavour and fragrance work. It’s an interesting place to walk into because there are always so many different smells in the air, depending on what we are working on that day. Sometimes it’s fruity, sometimes it’s floral, and other times it’s something quite sharp. We have a mix of lab spaces and storage areas. It’s not a shiny corporate headquarters; it’s more of a functional site where people are actually doing the hands-on work. The staff here in Selaiyur are mostly local folks who have been with us for a while. We have a small yard area where deliveries come in and out throughout the week. The East Main Road can get a bit congested during school hours, but otherwise, it’s a decent location. Our office furniture is a bit mismatched and the break room is just a small corner with a kettle and some chairs. We focus on the work itself rather than having a perfect-looking office. It’s a busy, scent-filled environment where we just try to get through our daily production lists without too much trouble.
