We are up on the first floor at Santhosh Nagar, right in Ramapuram. It is one of those spots where you have to watch your step on the stairs because they are a bit narrow and steep. Down at No. 5/12, the neighborhood gets busy early in the morning. We usually start the day by pushing back the chairs and getting the fans going because it gets warm here by noon. Most people know us just as the place above the ground floor shops. There are always piles of fabric sitting around on the tables. Sometimes the thread gets everywhere, and we spend half the afternoon just cleaning up the floor. It isn't a fancy setup, just some desks and the machines running most of the time. The light comes in through the front window around three o'clock and hits the back wall. We have been in this part of Ramapuram for a while now. You can hear the traffic from the street downstairs all day long. Usually, we just keep the door propped open a bit to let the air move through the room. It is a lot of work keeping track of everything, but we manage somehow. If you are looking for us, look for the sign near the staircase. We try to keep things organized, though with all the cloth it is hard. Most days are just about getting through the long list of things to do before the sun goes down.
