Our place is located at 49/1 on the Bypass Road in Koponneri. This is in Vriddhachalam, which is part of the Cuddalore district. We are right there on the edge of the town where the traffic moves pretty fast. Inside the walls, though, things are all about the textile machines. We have been working with fabrics here for a good while. It’s a practical setup. We don't have any marble floors or fancy lobbies. It’s just the concrete floor and the machines. We spend most of our time keeping the equipment running because if a machine stops, everything stops. Sometimes parts are hard to find, and we have to get creative to keep things moving. The weather in Cuddalore can be quite humid, so we do our best to keep the yarn and cloth in okay condition. We are just a group of people who know how to run a textile unit. We don’t spend money on big ads. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they see the building from the bypass. It’s a lot of manual labor, loading and unloading trucks, and keeping track of the inventory. We have our routines, from the first cup of tea in the morning to the final sweep of the floor at night. It’s steady work and we like it that way because it pays the bills and keeps us busy.
