Queen Maris College

Our college is right near the Commissioner Office on Kamaraj Salai in the Triplicane area. It’s an old part of the city and the atmosphere here is very different from the newer sections. Queen Maris College has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. We have students coming in from all over, walking through the gates every morning. The building itself has a lot of history and you can feel it when you walk down the hallways. Being so close to the coast, we sometimes get a nice breeze, but mostly it’s just the usual humid weather we have here. We have classrooms that have seen many generations of students pass through. It’s not a flashy modern campus with glass walls; it’s more traditional and solid. The staff here are mostly local people who have been around for years. We spend our days managing classes, looking after the library, and making sure the grounds are kept up. Triplicane is a busy place, especially with the main road right outside, so there is always the sound of horns and buses in the background. It is a place where people come to learn and move forward with their lives. We don't try to be anything we aren't; it’s just a school in a busy part of town where we try to keep things running smoothly for the students.
