P.S. Higher Secondary School

P.S. Higher Secondary School is right there on R.K Mutt Road. If you know Mylapore, you know the spot, right opposite the Ramakrishna Math. It’s always busy around here. The morning traffic is something else, with all the buses and cycles. We’ve been part of this street for a long time. It’s a plain building, nothing too modern, but it does the job. You’ll see the kids gathered near the gate before the bell rings. Some come from just a few streets away, others take the bus. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of teachers talking and the occasional chalk scraping on the boards. We don't have those big fancy glass walls. It's just old-fashioned classrooms with wooden desks that have seen better days. During the festivals at the Math, the whole area gets crowded, and we just watch it all from the windows. It’s a bit noisy because of the main road, but you get used to it. The staff mostly live nearby or travel a bit to get here. We aren't trying to be the most expensive place in the city. We just open the gates every morning and try to get through the lessons. Some days are harder than others when the heat is bad, but we keep the fans going. It’s just a normal school in a very busy part of town. People recognize the name because we’ve been here so long. It is just part of the local landscape now.
