Production Testing Engineer

I am a production testing engineer and I operate from my place at 36/16. It’s in the Burma Tamilar Colony in Palavanthangal. This is in the Ch-114 area of Chennai. My work is quite specific. I take parts that have been manufactured and I run them through a series of tests to make sure they aren't going to fail. I have a small room set up with all my testing gear. It’s not a massive laboratory, just a personal workspace where I can concentrate. The colony is a nice place and I’ve known my neighbors for many years. We all look out for each other here. I don't do any advertising or marketing. The companies I work with usually find me because someone told them I do a thorough job. I take my time with the testing because I don't like to rush things. If a part isn't right, I say so. I don't believe in cutting corners. Chennai is a big city but this little pocket of Palavanthangal feels like a village sometimes. You can hear the trains passing by quite often, but I find the rhythm of it quite soothing while I work. I spend my days looking at dials and screens, making sure every reading is where it should be. It’s a quiet, honest way to make a living and I plan to keep doing it right here for a long time.
