Alamdar Traders

You can find Alamdar Traders at New No. 4, which used to be Old No. 17, over on Singanna Naick Street. That street has plenty of history, and even if the door numbers change, we stay in the same place. Trading goods move in and out of our doors all day long. Sometimes the street gets so packed with carts and people that it’s hard to move, but that’s normal for this area. Our building is quite old and has its own quirks. Stock is piled up high, and we try our best to remember where every single box is kept. It’s almost like a maze for someone who isn't here every day. We talk to all sorts of people, from big suppliers to the local shopkeepers who just need a few items. Since there isn't any air conditioning, the doors stay open to catch whatever breeze comes through. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office. This is just a reliable spot where people get their supplies without any hassle. Years of doing this have made the routine feel very natural to us. It involves a lot of manual lifting and checking off lists, which keeps us pretty tired by the end of the day. But we like the work and the people we meet on Singanna Naick Street. It is a busy life, but it is ours.
