Our place is out at F-53 in the Sipcot Complex in Gummidipoondi. If you know this industrial area, you know it's a lot of big trucks and dust on most days. We deal with construction materials, so there is always a lot of heavy lifting going on in the yard. The space gets pretty full with stacks of stuff waiting to go out to different sites around the region. It's a bit of a drive from the main city, but being in the complex makes sense for the kind of work we do. The mornings are usually the busiest time when the big deliveries start arriving. We have a small office tucked in the front where we keep the paperwork and the phone, but most of the action happens out back where the loading is done. It gets quite hot in the afternoons under the metal roofs of the warehouse. We’ve been here at F-53 for some time now. You’ll see the lorries lined up along the road sometimes waiting for their turn. It’s a busy environment with people coming and going all day. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating the place; it’s a working yard, not a showroom. The ground is mostly gravel and dirt, which is just typical for a site like this. We focus on getting the materials moved and keeping the inventory sorted out. It's a lot of manual work and coordinating with the various drivers who stop by.
