You can find us at No. 2/564 A in Bahavani Nagar, which is out in the Pozhichalur area. We work with leather here. When you walk into the shop, that’s the first thing you’re going to smell—the tanned hides. It’s a very strong scent, but we’ve been here so long we’re used to it. We make belts, wallets, and sometimes bigger bags. It’s a small operation. We have a few old workbenches where we do all the cutting and the punching by hand. The tools we use are quite old but they still work perfectly fine. We don't have a big window to show off our stuff to the street. Most people find us because a neighbor or a friend told them where we were located. The street outside is a bit dusty, and we have to wipe down the leather pieces every single morning. It’s a lot of slow, careful work. If you try to rush it, you end up ruining the whole piece of leather. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It's just a few of us who actually know how to handle the material. We’ve been in Pozhichalur for quite some time now. The local people know us and they trust us. They even bring in their old leather jackets for us to fix for them sometimes. We don't have a fancy sign, just the name on the door. It’s a quiet business.
