Poonga College Of Arts & Science

Our college is located at number 3/6 in Uthandi. It’s right off the East Coast Road in the Sholinganallur area. Being near the ECR is nice because you get a bit of a breeze from the sea sometimes. Poonga College has been here for a bit now, tucked away in this part of town. We have a few buildings for different departments. It’s not like those massive universities with huge gates, but we have enough space for the students to learn and hang out. The commute can be long for some people because of the highway traffic. We have classrooms that are pretty basic but functional. You’ll see students walking around or sitting under the trees during breaks. We try to keep the place tidy, though the salt air from the coast makes the paint peel faster than we’d like. It’s a local college where people from the surrounding neighborhoods come for their degrees. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the classes and making sure the labs are working. It’s a fairly quiet campus compared to the city center. We spend our days managing schedules and helping students with their paperwork. It’s a steady pace of life here by the coast. We just keep the gates open and get on with the academic year.
