Lakrishi Organics

If you come looking for Lakrishi Organics, you have to find the Kumbhat Complex on Poonamallee High Road. We are on the first floor, at number 19. It gets really loud outside with all the traffic in Aminjikarai, so we usually keep the windows shut. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or looking at samples of different organic things. The office isn't very big, mostly just some shelves and a couple of old desks we’ve had for years. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we just take the stairs. It’s a busy spot at No. 700, and finding parking can be a real pain if you arrive after ten in the morning. We started this because we wanted to do something with natural products, and it just sort of grew from there. There are three of us working here most days, just trying to keep the orders organized. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, there’s a stack of boxes near the door waiting to be picked up. It gets a bit cramped when a new shipment comes in, but we manage. People stop by sometimes just to ask what we are doing, and we just tell them we handle the organic side of things. It’s a plain place, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The fans keep us relatively cool.
