Sarfaraz Leather Exports

If you come down to Periamet, you'll find us at 5/67 Wuthucattan Street. This area is famous for leather, and we’ve been part of it for quite some time. The street is narrow and always has trucks or carts moving through. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a door and some stairs. We deal with leather exports, so we spend a lot of time checking quality and packing boxes for shipping. It smells strongly of tanned hides here, but you get used to it after five minutes. We have a small office where we handle all the paperwork. It’s mostly just desks covered in files and samples of different leathers. We work with various grades and finishes. It’s a hands-on job. We’re often moving heavy stacks around. The light in the back room isn't the best, but we make do. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us making sure the orders are right. The neighbors are all in the same trade, so we all know each other. Sometimes we stand out on the street for a break just to see what’s going on. It’s a gritty, busy part of town, but it’s where the work gets done. We've been operating out of this same spot for years and the routine hasn't changed much at all.
