S. B. K. Leathers

S. B. K. Leathers is located at 12 Patnool Sardar Jung Street in Periamet. If you know this area, you know it smells like leather everywhere you go. Our building is quite old and the stairs are made of dark wood that creaks every time you walk up to the floor. We handle a lot of different leather pieces here. Most of the work involves checking the quality and packing things up for delivery. It is a dusty job and our hands are usually stained by the end of the day. We have a small office space with an old desk and a computer that takes forever to start up in the morning. There are stacks of leather hides in the corner waiting to be processed and sorted. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door so people know where we are. The neighborhood is full of other leather businesses so there is always a lot of movement on the street with carts and trucks. We’ve been here for many years and have seen the street change quite a bit over time. It’s hard work and the hours can be long but we just keep at it. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just do the work that needs to be done and try to stay organized in the middle of all the daily chaos. It is just a regular job for us.
