I. B. Exports & Imports

We have been running I. B. Exports & Imports from our spot on C. R. Garden Street for a while now. If you know Pattalam, you know how busy the roads get around Starhans Road. It’s just us here, a small group of people handling the day-to-day work of moving goods in and out. There’s always a lot of paperwork on the desks and boxes being moved. We don’t have fancy offices or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we get the job done. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other days we are just catching up on inventory. We spend most of our time talking to suppliers and making sure things are packed right before they head out. Being at No. 29 means we are right in the middle of everything. You can hear the city noise all day while we work. We started this because we knew the trade business well and wanted to do something for ourselves in our own neighborhood. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to keep things moving steadily. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all walk or bike to work. It makes the place feel more like a community than just a job site. We keep things simple and try not to make life more complicated than it needs to be with the exports and imports.
