Friends Footwear

We've been here on Angappa Naicken Street for quite a while now. If you know Parrys, you know it gets busy, and our shop is right in the middle of it at number 247. We mostly deal with all kinds of footwear. It’s a small place, but we keep a lot of stock. People come in looking for something comfortable for work or maybe just some simple slippers for home. We try to keep things organized, though on busy days, boxes end up everywhere. It’s just how it is when you’re trying to help three people at once. My cousin helps out sometimes when he’s not busy with his own work. We aren't fancy. There’s no big glass display or anything like that. Just shelves full of shoes and a few chairs for you to sit and try them on. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps the air moving. Dealing with the crowd in this part of town is a daily thing. You get used to the noise of the street while you're talking to customers. We just want to make sure you leave with something that fits right and doesn't fall apart after two days of walking on these roads. Most of our regulars have been coming here for years. They know where we are, right near the corner. It's just a regular shop where we do our work every day and go home.
