S. P. M. D. Impex

You can find S. P. M. D. Impex at Plot No. 5 on Rajaji Street, over in the Anna Nagar part of Pammal. It is a growing area with a lot of new things popping up. We have been here since the roads were in much worse shape than they are now. Our setup is pretty basic. We have a front office and some storage space in the back. Most of our day is spent dealing with the details of imports and exports. It is a lot of logistics to handle. We have to make sure every single paper is signed and every box is taped up properly before it leaves. It is not exactly exciting work, but it is what we do and we know it well. We have a few employees who have been with us for many years. We are more like a small group of friends than just coworkers. We often share snacks and talk about our families during our afternoon breaks. The building is not anything special to look at from the street. Just a plain gate and a simple sign. But inside, we are always moving and getting things ready. We deal with many different vendors. Sometimes things go wrong, like a truck breaking down or a big delay at the port. We just deal with it and move on. That is just life in this business. We do not promise anything crazy. We just do the task at hand. It has been our life for a long time.
