Karthikeyan Engineering

Karthikeyan Engineering is down at No. 149/1 Vannier Street in the Padi area. This is where we do all our engineering and fabrication work. Padi is known for having a lot of workshops like ours, so it feels like the right place to be. Inside, it’s mostly metal and machines. We do a lot of welding, cutting, and shaping of steel. It’s loud and it can get quite messy with all the sparks and metal scraps on the floor. We aren't the type of place with an air-conditioned office or a receptionist. Usually, if you come in, you’ll find us out on the floor working on a project. We have a small team of guys who know how to handle the heavy equipment. Vannier Street is a bit of a tight squeeze for big trucks, but we manage the deliveries as they come. We mostly work on small to medium jobs for other local businesses or construction sites. There is no set routine really, just whatever job is on the bench that day. We start early in the morning to get the heavy work done before it gets too hot. It’s a lot of physical labor and staying focused on the task. We don't do any flashy advertising or anything. We just let the work speak for itself and hope people come back when they need something else built or fixed. It’s just how we have always done things here in Padi, keeping the machines running.
