We are located out in Padappai, specifically at No. 3 Gopalakrishna Road in Sri Mahalakshmi Nagar. It’s a bit away from the main city rush, which has its pros and cons. The area is mostly quiet compared to central Chennai. Our building is a straightforward structure where we do all our garment work. We have a good number of people working here every day. You can usually hear the sound of the machines running from the moment we start in the morning until we close up in the evening. It’s a routine we’ve stuck to for years. The road outside isn't too wide, so when we have deliveries, things can get a bit tight. We spend our days looking over patterns and making sure the stitching is right. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. We have a small tea stall nearby where everyone goes during the breaks. Sri Mahalakshmi Nagar is a decent neighborhood, and we’ve gotten to know the other business owners around Gopalakrishna Road. We don't have a big marketing team; we just focus on the clothes and getting them finished. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just part of working in this part of town. We just keep going because there is always work to be done. The building is simple but it is where we belong.
