P Subbaraya Chetty

We are located at 76 and 68 on Rasappa Chetty Street in Periamet. If you have ever been to this part of Chennai, you know how cramped and busy the streets are with all the wholesalers. P Subbaraya Chetty has been here for a very long time, passing through generations. This street is famous for trade, and we are right in the middle of all that chaos. Our shop is old and filled with all sorts of things from floor to ceiling. It is not organized like a modern mall or a supermarket. You have to know where to look, or just ask us to find it for you. We deal with various goods and supplies that people in the city need for their daily work. The noise from the street never really stops during the day, with carts and bikes always moving. We spend most of our time talking to customers who come in looking for specific items. Sometimes it takes a while to find exactly what they want in the back of the store. It is a lot of manual work, moving heavy crates and checking the handwritten stock books. We don't have any corporate slogans or marketing teams. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the evening light fades. The air in Periamet is always full of the smell of the city and the constant sound of horns.
