Amigo Fashion

Amigo Fashion is tucked away on 3rd Street in M. C. M. Garden. It’s in Old Washermenpet, not too far from the Maharani Post Office. The address is a bit confusing because of the old and new numbers, but we are at the spot that used to be 6/1 and is now 11. This neighborhood is full of life and very traditional in a lot of ways. We’ve been operating out of this small building for years. It’s a local operation, nothing too fancy or modern. We spend our mornings getting things ready and the afternoons are usually for finishing up whatever project we have on hand. Because we are near the post office, we see a lot of people walking by all day. The street isn't very wide, so it feels very close-knit. We know most of the people who live around here. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves of materials and a couple of work tables. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just focus on the clothes and making sure they are made right. Some days the power goes out or the water is slow, but that’s just life in this part of town. We just deal with it and keep going. It’s a good place to be if you like being part of a real neighborhood where everyone knows your name. You get used to the pace of it all.
