Param Outfits

We have our business set up in two different places. One is in Chennai on Valluvar Kottam High Road in Nungambakkam. That road is always jammed with cars and bikes, so there is plenty of activity outside the door. The other location is over in Coimbatore, near the Sasthiri Ground on Aroiyasamy Road in R. S. Puram. Running shops in two cities keeps us pretty busy, and we are often traveling back and forth or talking on the phone to check on things. In Nungambakkam, we get a lot of people just passing by who stop in to look at the outfits. The Coimbatore shop is a bit different because it feels more like a regular neighborhood spot near the ground. We have racks full of clothes for all sorts of people. Some afternoons are quiet, and we just spend the time tidying the hangers or re-arranging the displays. Other days, like when there is a festival coming up, the shop gets really crowded and a bit messy. We do not go for anything fancy in terms of decoration; it is just plain walls and mirrors for people to see what they are trying on. We get our stock in large bundles and spend hours sorting them by size and color. Both cities get quite hot, so we make sure the fans are running all day long. We just want to make sure the doors are open and the racks are full.
