If you find yourself over in Adyar on 5th Cross Street, you’ll see our place at New No 7. It’s a quiet enough street in Shastri Nagar, though it picks up when people are heading home. Nithyam Global Imports And Exports is basically run from this small office. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy outside. Most of our day is spent on the phone or typing away at emails to people in different time zones. It gets a bit chaotic with all the paperwork piled up on the side tables. I usually have a fan going full blast because the Chennai heat doesn't spare anyone in this part of town. We’ve been at this for a bit, just handling the import and export side of things without making a big fuss. It’s mostly just making sure things get from one port to another without getting stuck in some warehouse forever. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find the exact door since the numbering on the street is a bit odd, but we usually spot them from the window. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to get the work done and go home to our families. It’s a small team, just a few of us sharing the space and trying to keep everything organized.
