New Real Apparel

New Real Apparel is tucked away on 1st Main Road in Mangla Nagar which is over in Porur. If you are looking for No. 4, which is also called New No. 2, you have to watch the signs carefully. It’s a typical neighborhood spot where everyone knows each other. We spend our days surrounded by sewing machines and stacks of finished clothes ready to be moved out. It’s not a very quiet place because there is always the hum of the fans and the sound of people talking over their work. We started out small and we are still pretty much a straightforward operation. There isn't any fancy decor or a big reception area here. You just walk in and see people working. Porur is a busy part of town and getting here in the morning can be a bit of a struggle with the traffic. Once we are inside the building though, we just get on with things. We handle various types of apparel and it keeps us on our toes most of the week. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big pile of work to finish but nobody really complains much. It’s just how the garment business goes in a place like this. We like being in Mangla Nagar because it feels like a real community and not just a commercial zone. We’ve been doing this for years and we just keep on going with our daily routine.
