About Neharika Anand – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chennai
If you look for 180/1 in Kurniji Colony, you will find me, Neharika Anand. I have been based here in Chennai for a few years now, and it is a nice little spot. The colony is usually quiet compared to the main roads, which I appreciate. My work doesn't require a lot of fancy equipment, just a place to sit and some peace of mind. I usually start my day with a cup of coffee and then get straight to whatever is on the list for that morning. Living and working in Tamil Nadu means dealing with the heat, so I have a couple of fans going all day long. Sometimes the electricity goes out, but that is just how it is here. I don't have a team of people working under me; it is mostly just me handling everything. People in the neighborhood are friendly and we often nod to each other when I’m heading out to the market. I try to keep my records straight and my customers happy without making a big fuss about it. There are no grand posters on my walls, just some calendars and notes pinned up to remind me of deadlines. It’s a basic way of doing things, but it works for what I need. Chennai is a big place, but this small corner of it feels like home. I just keep my head down and do the work that needs doing.
